The exhibition of the Viennese architect was opened with the words of Zoltán Zakar, major of Apostag on 18th September 2010 in the community house of the village. After his short forewords Dr Béla Kerékgyártó (Technical and Economical University of Budapest) gave a lecture about the life and works of Otto Wagner, his role in the history of architecture, Wien in the beginning of the twentieth century and the world of Secession and Modern Architecture.
After the professional lecture the Marasztaló ensamble gave a concert for the guests, after which visitors could talk about the material exhibited, photos of Zsolt Frikker about the present buildings of Wagner in Wien and the collection of works provided by Wien Museum.
Besides Wagner plans visitors had the possibility to get known the history of the community house of Apostag. After decades passed demolished in 1985 the former building of the synagouge was rebuilt and restorated as a library and community house to the plans of Péter Wirth. The professional work of restoration won the EUROPA NOSTRA award in 1986.
